Falen sat on the floor. She had been almost silent since her breakdoewn .she had been havign more and more memories coming to mind about the people breaking down the door to come and get her. the thigns they called her parents. All the camera's...all the camera's...She would have a siezure then sit up and seem almost dazed and crazed. She had been in the same place for days on end. She kept starign at the door not phased by what she saw. Whether someone entered or not. She hated her memories. They played games with her. Serenity had gone to the library, not that falen noticed. She hardly showed emotion anymore. she turned around and faced the fire palce. Which crakled with a fire, she watched the flames dance and sparkle. Her hair raged and horrid. She held the shreds of paper in her palms. She watched the fire and threw them in. She couldn't bare it any longer. No, nto anymore. Her parents weren't coming back, she accepted it now. It hurt her so much but she accepted it.They weren't coming back.

Serenity pulled a book from the bookcase, and suddenly a piece of paper fell out. It was marked "TO FAE" So she silently picked it up and placed the letter in Falen's hands.
At that moment, Cassia Jacinth Ridgeway was standing outside the door, unsure whether or not she should go in. She heard the fire crackling and had peaked through the window. The brunette had to choke back tears at her daughter's sad face. She knew that Falen would be... mad to say the least. That's what made her hesitant.
Serenity could both smell and sense Cassia outside, but figured the older woman would come in when she needed to.

Falen looked in her hands. The piece of paper in her hands was placed upside down so she she didn 't see the 'Too Fae' .She laid it on the floor. She didn't react anyway. She looked at the fire. She staid silent. She looked at Serenity for a moment before returning her gaze to the fire.

Serenity sighed. "Fae, it's a letter adressed to you in a handwriting I don't recognize. It looks old. Read it."
Cassia stood outside, listening.

Falen looked at the piece of paper. She reached her hand to get it. The paper was slightly yellowed. She looked at it a few more moments before slowly preparing to open it. Then she thought she heard something outside. She looked at the window, her red puffy eyes, from crying looked outside. Who was out there?

Cassia gasped and stepped out of the way of the window. She wanted to go in, but she was hesitant.
Serenity's ears twitched. "There's no one there Fae, read the letter."

Falen looked out the window. someone was out there. But she didn't want to correct Serenity. She still wasn't sure. Her hatred was in her body movements as she slowly began once more to unfold the letter.

Serenity waited, curious as to what it said. "Well?"
Cassia waited too, waited for Falen's reaction.

Falen rolled her eys at Serenity's 'Well'. She was slow in reaction. What could it be? She opened it and it .The first words were Dear Falen. She showed no emotion. Was this some kind of trick to make her happ? She didn't know. If it was really what good would it sya. They had abondened her. Left her. What woudl they have to say that mattered anymore.

Serenity frowned. "What does it say Bird-girl?"
Cassia paused. When she was done, she would open the door. She had left Jared to find her, she had to do this!

Falen looked at serenity and passed her the letter. She hadn't read it but she didn't feel like finding more dissapointment. No words came from her mouth .It was as if she coudln't speak. To sad, to shocked.

Serenity rolled her eyes and read it out loud. "Dear Falen," She read, "I am sorry we left you, and I will never forgive myself for leaving you all alone. Just know that I love you, I always have and I always will. I know what i did was wrong, and I am sorry. I know that you will be a very strong girl, and will be as strong as the the original shifter Mercy, the bird, in which you are descended. I love you Falen, please forgive me. Love, Mom." Serenity's eyes widened.
Cassia paused, waiting for a reaction.

Falen listened to Serenity. Her eyes grew wide. Why would her mother leave if she loved her so much? She wanted to cry but she had cried so much in the past few days she hadn't a tear in her to spare. She put her face in her hands and shook her head, she tried to understand.

At that moment, Cassia walked into the door. "Fae..." She whispered, tears filling her eyes.
Serenity smiled. Hopefully things would work out okay.

Falen looked to her mother, confusion filed her face. She looked to serenity and said turning back to her mom "Mom?!". That was the first word she had uttered since her apologies to Noah and Serenity.
