Alert. Ears perked up. Planted silently on a tree limb, Mariel was all but meditating. Such experiences are lost when you're listening for the silence, and the gentle nothing sought to overwhelm the tigress. She scored the bark of the pine, releasing a dull scent of tree and outdoor. Straying thoughts fell across her as she attempted to clear her mind.
For a moment, the tigress wondered if this state of relaxation would cause her to fall asleep; the moon was above her, and the night was cloudless: both of these things she found immensely soothing. A paced sigh escaped her maw, and teeth just as ready to kill as they were to grin were bared for several lengthy seconds.
Dark, she thought proudly. It's dark, and I'm here and it's peaceful. Such simplicity pleased the teen, and she stretched her limbs to their extremities, then applied a few licks on her chest fur.
A shrieking caw interrupted her lax mind, unbalancing her and startling her muscles. Mariel tumbled from her perch, easily forty feet up, emitting a high pitched caterwaul before she hit the ground with a soft thud.
when do you think it will all become clear? cuz i'm being taken over by the fear

Serenity was walking through the forest. Her tail twitched, her eyes bright yellow, her ears swivelling, searching for a sound. They soon found one, and she saw a teen suddenly do a belly flop on the ground. "Nice," She snickered. Her eyes turned to light blue in amusement.
At the same time, Mystere Roan was walking through the forest. Her eyes were bright red. She needed to feed soon. Her black wings ruffled, her tail twitching. With her heightened hearing she heard the girl fall out of tree, and heard her long lost daughter snicker.

Silence shattered, the tigress's bulk crackled nearly every leaf it hit. Suddenly, Mariel became aware of other presences. She crouched and hissed like a snake at a human.
"Nice." Said a girl's voice. Mariel's ears pinned back dramatically, teeth bared in a snarl. Her hind legs complained, bruised due to her unexpected drop. Mariel's neck twisted awkwardly, trying to identify they who thought she was a source of amusement.
Mariel knew that light would reflect from her eyes, as did any normal Siberian tiger's. She saw none such gleam on anything as she scanned the treetops and forest floor. She considered casting her power, a powerful disorientation that made others loose their sense of purpose and direction. This possibility was dismissed briskly, as curiosity drove her to see what was hiding in the shadows.
On her second scan, a flash of light blue caught her attention. With great concentration, she allowed her own eyes to pass over this color with ease, so that whoever inhabited the trees would not know of her realization. Sheepishly, Mariel thought about changing back into a teenage girl, but decided she was better protected as she was.

Serenity stepped out of the shadows. "Oh come on shifter, change back. I'm not gonna hurt you." She smirked, hands on her hips. The black panther shifter was hot, and she knew it.

Mariel lifted her head, a growl growing in her throat. Someone thought they were all that, hm? She advanced a paw step, threatening.

Serenity rolled her eyes and ignited a fire. "Oh come on, I'm not gonna hurt you." She had long dark brown hair and dark brown eyes.
